JIU-JITSU FOR KIDS IN FORT WORTH, TX

How Our Kids Martial Arts Program will Boost Your Child’s Confidence, Strengthen their Character and prepare them for Challenges in Life?

We will introduce Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to your kid based on our 6 Blades values: Family, Respect, Loyalty, Discipline, Attitude and Honor.

Our commitment is to teach real martial art for your child. The kids will learn jiu-jitsu techniques and life skills. Of course, we have time for games and the classes are fun, because we want your child to have a good time while learning. But we are NOT a day care.

Our role is to work together with the families to raise STRONG KIDS. Kids with confidence, discipline and able to protect theirselves. Kids that have fun at the right time, but also know to be respectful, good listeners, work hard to get results, and deal with failure.

How do we do it?

First we work on your child’s focus, discipline and respect. Then we start to work on your child’s confidence and self-esteem, by empowering them with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques and making them feel safe and meaningful.

Kids Martial art

Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Fort Worth builds champions on and off the mats through the lessons learned in each class. They will learn to protect themselves while developing coordination, strength and building a healthy relationship with exercise. Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts have shown to be a wonderful tool for teaching children about character, kindness, toughness, discipline and respect for others as well as themselves. They will also have these benefits:

SELF-DISCIPLINE

Learning to do what needs to be done even when it’s a challenge.

SELF-DEFENSE

Sometimes, all we have are our hands. Our kids need to be prepared to use them if necessary.

SELF-CONFIDENCE

In jiu-jitsu as in life winning and losing is part of the journey. Kids who learn how to deal with it become empowered.

ANTI-BULLYING

Teaches the kids to defend against a potential bully, but also teach them not to be a bully.

"...My three year old trains on Tuesday and Thursday. He always looks forward to going to class and playing with his friends. He has already had a couple instances at daycare, where another kid has tackled him and he was able to get out from underneath them and walk away unharmed. If you have kids, start them in jiu-jitsu as soon as possible. Not only will it benefit them by giving them the tools to physically defend themselves, but they will learn how to be gentle, respectful and a good listener. My son is still working on the good listener part. 😊..."

"This is a great school with a great vibe. My kids love it and they always ask when we are going to jiu jitsu again. I have yet to see a child that wasn't having a good time and enjoying the class. Leonel and Luciana provide exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the knowledge they share is amazing. It is a very family oriented school and they make sure that the family atmosphere is a core value. I train with the adult class and every person at this school is a great person. The camaraderie within the adults group is one of the things that I love the most. We train hard and we have fun. Light vibe, heavy jiu jitsu."

"We absolutely love this school! My 6 year old son has been attending the Little Ninjas class for a few months, after experiencing some bullying at school and he has definitely gained his confidence back. The instructor is patient and teaches discipline while also bringing the fun. He truly cares about his students, engulfing them in a big hug when he sees them and telling them how great they are doing throughout the class. He and his wife are so welcoming to the students and their families, and offer a great family vibe!"

OUR KIDS CLASSES

LITTLE KIDS

Our Little Ninjas are kids of 5 and 6 years old. We teach basic survival techniques, anti-bullying training, how to stand up while protecting and avoiding pushing, how to look into the eyes and not be intimidate, how to take someone down and control the situation.  Our focus is to Teach our kids how to be confident. Our students learn to be more respectful, better listeners, demonstrate self control, and get along with others.

The little kids learn real BJJ techniques too. They warm-up with the older children, repeat techniques adapted to their age and they also have their sparring time. If they have interest, little kids also can compete in BJJ tournaments.

The classes are every Monday, Wednesdsay, and Friday (No Gi)  5 – 6 pm.

KIDS SELF-DEFENSE CLASS

We will prepare your child to defend themselves.  Your kids will become bullyproof as we will give them a “plan of action” that involves building up their self-esteem and confidence,  avoid bad situations, and only use physical force as a last resort and within the necessary to repel unfair aggression.

Most physical confrontations, especially those started by untrained fighters, will end up on the ground, leaving potential victims vulnerable, but jiu-jitsu takes the perceived disadvantage and turns it into a strength through special techniques.

Self-defense is the base of Jiu-jitsu and we work with it in our regular program. Eventually we do special events focus on anti-bullying and self defense.

kids competition

KIDS COMPETITION CLASS

Competing is not mandatory. Jiu-jitsu has so many different benefits for children that are achieved only with the consistent practice, such as self confidence, self discipline, bully proof, self defense, have fun, and many others.

But if your kid want to compete, we have extra classes specifically designed to prepare our kids for competitions with no extra charge.   We will help students to feel confident and evolve a competition mindset while focused on sparring and study tournament situations.

We only encourage participation in tournaments when the child himself is interested, and the coach understands that he is ready. In this cases, it is our pleasure to prepare our little warriors to compete.
