Jiu-jitsu Head Instructor: LEONEL MARRA

Leonel Marra is a Black Belt 4th Degree under Xande Ribeiro. Professional athlete registered at International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Federation (IBJJF), he competes actively on Medium-Heavy Master 2 division having several titles.

He has been training and competing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for more than 20 years, known for his deep half guard (that he alreary teaches in BJJ LIBRARY video). 

Leonel is a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (with a scholarship offered because of BJJ), and is post-graduate in physiology and kinesiology, and teaches the gentle art in Brazil since 2003 for Kids, Adults and Competition Class. He is currently a referee in International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). 

 

He moved from Brasilia (Brazil’s Capital) to Fort Worth and founded Ribeiro Jiu-jitsu North Texas in 2019, that becomes Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Fort Worth in 2020. If you want to know him better, you can read some of his posts in our blog, or listening to his participation in the ON Queue Podcast (links below):

Instructor: Ford Jacobs

Ford Jacobs is a U.S.  Marine Corps Combat Veteran and a 1st Degree Black Belt under Leonel Marra and has been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2004.  He got his start in the grappling arts at the age of 6, when he began wrestling.  At the age of 19, he joined the Marines and later earned his Black Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, while he taught hand to hand combat for the Marines.  Ford competed in several MMA and Jiu Jitsu tournaments over his years of martial arts, winning the first All Marine tournament in 2006 on the West Coast at middle weight and later placing 3rd in the 2014 IBJJF Pan Ams, at Brown Belt, Masters 3, Middleweight division.
